Jamaica day 5

Last night was reggae night and let me tell you, Jamaicans can move!! They do a dance called the One Drop which includes a lot of hip shaking and butt moving. They were definitely more skilled than us Americans!! Lol

We danced for many hours and even got to enjoy some ice cream as well.

This trip is treating me a lot about the Jamaican culture. They are extremely easy going and take things as they come. They enjoy the music and have several dances that look like role playing. There are about eight Jamaicans that come to the community center (AOC) and participate in dancing, singing, eating meals and making us feel welcomed. They aren't paid to "hang out" with us, but night after night they join in with the festivities.

We are spending the day on the beach!! We will enjoy a beach cookout while finally getting to enjoy some sun! (Hoping for no rain.)

Tonight we will attend an AOC weekly meeting. The community will discuss upcoming events and possibly reflect on our time here.
